To extend the lifetime of your Possum umbrella, we offer the following advice:

• Before opening your umbrella, free the fabric from the ribs by holding the handle and twisting, like rattling a door knob.
  
• When closing your foldable umbrella, always push the the stock and handle – never push the ribs as this will deform them.
• After use, always leave your Possum umbrella open until dry and then put it back in its case.
